This blog was inspired by friends asking about my recent Blast: “Don’t waste your time writing books. Live them!” While the blast itself was a mere answer to someone’s blog, you can easily see how one thing leads to another. That’s life!
About changing the blast, I guess there is not a word more, not a letter less to be said. Still I think it is worth an explanation so there it is, two facts:
I have the habit of reading my friends bogs as they post them. I am often tempted to post a comment but I most often don’t. I guess I am too selfish or lazy to take the time writing a good answer. “Mea culpa”.
And here is a second thing: I don’t like to read sad/long/desperate/fantasizing stories. I guess sadness is contagious and I like too much having myself hanging on the happy side of life. I also find it is lame to spend considerable effort fantasizing about life but fail the day by day duty toward your happiness. I strongly believe one should practice what/before he preaches.
I will end here by apologising, to each of you reading this, for the indecent, public exposure of some intimate thoughts but not before I ask likewise from your answers to my “one” question below:
Are you READING or RIDING your book of life?
I would like to think I am riding my book of life, more so cruising along on it, quite comfortably for the moment. I think I need to throw in a few twists and turns to make the plot a little more interesting, though, overall I think I am a pretty happy and positive person and to me happiness is all I need in life!
I have found that in life there are times when one needs to both read and ride 🙂 Very few things are all or nothing. Balance, grasshopper.
It seems my library lacks a card catalog, so sad to say at my age, I am still searching for my book.
hmmm…I'd like to think I'm riding my book of life…despite everything that's been happening, I know I'm doing my best and I just hope it's good enough…
